With an epic story of real-life heroes pitted against Mother Nature’s fury, the film is like a war movie (and co-written by Black Hawk Down scribe, Ken Nolan), yet focuses in on the personal level to explore the trust, respect and deep sense of brotherhood that develops between the firefighters.
Only the Brave, directed by Joseph Kosinski, is based on the heroic true story of an elite firefighting group called the Granite Mountain Hotshots, as they put everything on the line to protect a town threatened by the historic 2013 Yarnell Hill wildfire in Arizona.
